RIS provides a host to a variety of research programs:

• Protein sequence-structure-dynamics-function relationships

• Ferromagnetic interactions with particular attention to dimensionally reduced systems

• Radiation absorbency by tissue and other materials

• Autonomous models for machine learners

• Physical modeling of cell division

At the present stage of RIS, funding for scientific research is expected to be obtained from external funding agencies. Current research is founded by sub-contracting for grants from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation
